Sen Piyer Monastery Terrace Galata Restoration

The historic Sen Piyer Monastery, built in the 17th century, has been revived following restoration work that preserves its original texture. As part of the project, the old floor on the terrace was broken down in layers, cleaned, and the debris removed. All water drainage systems on the monastery’s terrace were renewed, and thermal and acoustic insulation was applied to the floor. Then, a terrazzo (cast mosaic) application, known for its aesthetic appeal and durability, was carried out, ensuring that the historic structure was harmonized with modern needs.
