Restoration Project of the Historical Building Built in 1858, Galata Restoration
As part of our restoration works in Istanbul Beyoğlu, this historical house, which had been unused for nearly 30 years, has been brought back to life. Within the scope of the project, all infrastructure and plumbing systems of the building were completely renewed, and the bathroom, WC, and kitchen areas were redesigned according to modern living standards.
The texture of old drawings with paint on the walls was carefully restored, staying true to the original structure. The old doors and windows were repaired with wooden restoration and then painted according to the client’s requests.
Some wall plasters were removed to highlight the natural texture of the firebrick, and the walls were grouted with Horasan mortar, suitable for the historical texture.
Additionally, steel reinforcement was applied to the two balconies in the house to increase safety.
